SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job summary.
The job holder will be responsible for serving the customers by selling the company’s products, identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support. They will also be responsible for growing sales, managing inventory levels and product display in various retail stores.
Key roles.
• Achieving sales targets consistently despite obstacles and market challenges.
• Prospecting and visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote company products.
• Building and promoting client relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and turning these into business.
• Developing new market frontiers and engaging stakeholders with the aim of closing sales, growing the customer portfolio and increasing the market share.
• Confirming customer orders and communicate with the Customer service team in the office for further forwarding and processing of the sales order.
• Generating and submitting sales forecasts, sales budgets, pending orders reports and overdue reports.
• Handling Route to Market to open new markets for the company’s products
• Ensuring accurate and timely cash collection per company policy
• Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company products
• Tracking all sales activities in the company CRM system and keeping current by updating account information regularly.
• Generating sales from current retail stores and ensuring company products are well presented in the store.
• Processing retail orders, planning delivery and following up on payment from all stores.
• Achieving adequate space of shelf (SOS) for all company products, product visibility, availability and promotion in retail stores.
• Prepare sales and merchandizing reports for all product categories
• Coordinating with other team members and departments to optimize sales efforts.
• Planning and developing merchandising strategies.
• Analyzing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs.
Requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
• 3 years experience in sales and merchandizing
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships for both merchandizing and modern trade clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of CRM systems.
• Working experience in HORECA will be an added advantage.
