Job Description/Requirements

Key Accountabilities:

n   To comply with relevant Safety requirements and procedures outlined in TAS Safety Management Manual (SMM) and other TAS Corporate Manuals.

n   To comply with department manuals, standard operating procedures, circulars, directives, bulletins, instructions and notices.

n   To     apply     system Safety     measures as required     by     Safety management procedures and instructions.

n   To report workplace hazards and near misses to immediate supervisors and or TAS Safety and Quality department.

n   Nominate TAS occupational health and safety committee representatives to address workplace issues, safety and welfare concerns.

n   To provide valuable inputs to Safety and Quality department of any Safety occurrences or system failures.

n   To report any unsafe situation of potential risk or concern affecting Safety system.

n   Report directly to immediate supervisors and or safety department.

n   Submitting either a hazard/occurrence report or a confidential report.

n   Supporting as and when internal and or external Safety and quality audits occur.

n   Supporting and participating Safety investigations as and when occur.

n   Supporting    in    risk    assessment process if    applicable    and in                   risk mitigation systems.

n   Security agent at the work place must be well dressed and alert.

n   Reporting of all security incidents to the security team-leader without any delay.

n   Conducting investigations on all matters related/referred to him/her by the security team-leader.

n   Check rectify and report any cases of indiscipline among follow staff.

n   Collate and collect intelligence reports on all matters touching on security and disseminate to the security team-leader without any delay.

n   Prevent cases of your fellow staff loitering in areas where they are not officially required e.g. duty free lounges.

n   Any other duty that may be detailed from time to time

 

Competencies:

§  Ability to work under pressure.

§  Communication and interpersonal skills.

§  Good Security Trainer/Investigations Skills.

§  Strong Orientation for results.

§  Fluency in English and Kiswahili

§  Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills

 

Qualification:

§  Diploma/Certificate in Criminology or any other relevant qualification

§  Security Certification/AVSEC

·        High School Education

·        DGR, Safety, Security Awareness

·        Excellent communication skills
