Reporting to General Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
•Efficient allocation of computer hardware and software resources and related inventory management
• User training and support on the company’s ICT services
• Manage servers and ensure optimal operation of key services including Virtual machines, replications, data backups and recovery
• Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrading of the company’s ICT resources, both hardware and software
• Support and administration of Office 365 and Active Directory domains including managing users, user groups, and group policies
• Maintain and support business applications
• Formulation, implementation and administration of IT policies and best practice
• Conduct regular system audits and ensure optimal performance of the systems
• Schedule and perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other ICT assets
• Records management within the ICT function
• Budgeting and cost management within the ICT function
• Preparation and presentation of ICT reports
• Team leadership and supervision
• ICT suppliers liaison
• Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
Proficiency
• Expert in Microsoft Operation Systems required
• Support of MS Active Directory domains
• Support of servers running MS SQL Server
• Functional knowledge and experience on Virtual environments
• LAN, WAN and Cisco switching technologies
• Knowledge in data backup and NAS storage
• Managing APs / Fortinet Firewall
• Expert in Microsoft Office / Office 365 Applications and RDS
• Network/Wi-Fi Connectivity, installation and troubleshooting
• Ability to evaluate/support a remote site from the entry point to the endpoint - including data/voice connectivity, Desktop, Server, Network, Wi-Fi, IP Cameras, and security• Ability to support systems without prior knowledge by thinking out of the box by using past experience and deductive reasoning to reach a solution
Qualifications & Relevant
Experience
• 3+ years of helpdesk engineer experience
• 3+ years of verifiable, hands-on experience supporting organizations with multiple interconnected remote sites
• 3+ years supporting basic network technologies
• Experience with system integrations
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner
• Using industry best practices and procedures required.
• Root cause identification and remediation on various hardware and software platforms
• Strong work ethics
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium time sensitive projects with ease required
• ITIL certification, Microsoft MCSA/MCP an added advantage
• Degree in Information Technology or related field
