Job Description/Requirements

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for all of the global marketing and communication activities for the company. The role will primarily focus on Kenya and East Africa. This will include market intelligence, campaign planning and implementation, coordination and capacity building of partners, stakeholder engagement, digital marketing, drafting internal performance reports and more.

This position requires a strong understanding of strategic marketing, team management and some understanding of consumer psychology or behaviour change principles. We are looking for someone who is a creative thinker, fast mover and hard-working. Someone who will be a leader both within and without the company and represent Dot Glasses on a global stage.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement B2B, B2C and B2B2C marketing strategies that build trust, excitement, inspire action, reduce fears, and dispel myths surrounding eye care.

Support the development and lead the implementation of educational and awareness-building content across multiple platforms, including printed materials.

Conduct market research to understand user feedback, consumer attitudes, and barriers to taking up eye care services.

Track and measure the success of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) using the data to provide  insights and recommendations for future campaigns.

Utilising the company’s CRM tools to achieve company objectives.

Stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.

Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, account management and product development, to align strategies and achieve overall business objectives.

And, are someone who:

·       Has at least 7 years’ proven relevant experience in B2B and B2C commercial marketing and communications in low-income settings. Health marketing experience is a plus.

·       Proven track record of creating and executing marketing strategies that successfully result in increased sales among low-income consumers.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field. 

·       Has proven experience as a marketing manager with the ability to lead and be decisive.

·       Is experienced with market intelligence research, analysis and reporting.

·       Experience with consumer psychology and behaviour change is highly desirable

·       Is experienced with stakeholder communications, including government, investors, donors and partners.

·       Is able to research and analyse market trends and report future opportunities/risks.

·       Has perfect written and spoken English and Swahili.

·       Is a very organised self-starter with excellent time management.

·       Is very good with technology (computers, tablets, smartphones, social media).
