Job Description/Requirements

Reports To:    Branch Manager
Department:    Business Development   
Location:       Nairobi   

Key Responsibilities   

Acquisition: Business Development % of Time 100%

1.    Ensure Timely and accurate processing of Trade finance Bank .Instruments within the stipulated Service Level Agreements .
2.    Enhance the bank's revenue targets by ensuring revenue collection for all trade products.
3.    Co-ordinate with credit and other interfacing departments to ensure smooth and timely execution of client Trade Finance applications.
4.    To maintain accuracy of record keeping and reconciliation of trade documents within the branch.
5.    Continuously identify business growth opportunities in line with strategic direction for trade finance business.
6.    To understand customers’ businesses and to anticipate their requirements through consultative selling.
7.    Ensuring continuous improvement in customer service and implementing effective retention of trade finance customers.
8.    Liaise with internal departments to facilitate the release of client securities used as collateral for Trade Instruments.
9.    Generation of quality and timely trade finance business pipelines.
10.    Cross-sell and upsell other bank products.
11.    Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.
12.    Any other official duty that may be assigned from time to time

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business related Field
•    3-4 Years working experience in business development in a financial institution, experience in processing trade finance products will be an added advantage
