Service Technician

Qualification

•  2 Yrs of experience handling mechanical machines and Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Skills Required
• Exceptional technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly understand the working principles and confidence to troubleshoot new equipment and systems without prior experience
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
• Practical and technical abilities in math and engineering - measurements, critical analysis
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and manage varied workload
• Exceptional work discipline

Job Description:
Role will involve carrying out equipment installations, services, repairs, site surveys as well as preventative or emergency maintenance works.

Day-to-day duties include but not limited to:
• Organizing routine repairs, maintenance and servicing schedules
• Installing new systems and equipment
• Modifying existing installed systems to suit customer needs
• Servicing and maintaining equipment at customer sites to make sure they are in good working status
• Calibrating equipment to ensure they are accurate
• Fitting new parts as required, or as part of a regular replacement
• Proposing to clients new solutions or products when opportunities arise
• Leading and allocating work to a team of fitters on work sites
• Carrying out quality inspections on jobs
• Sending quotations of various equipment and service where applicable
• Carrying out site surveys at client sites
• Supporting other colleagues where required
• Other duties and roles as assigned

Emergency maintenance tasks include:
• Responding to equipment breakdowns at any time or day
• Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs on site and/or arranging for replacement parts or equipment
• Keeping engineering teams informed of progress
• Organizing teams or individuals to make sure that 24-hour cover is available where applicable

Working hours, patterns and environment
• Work may require working on weekends and off-hours depending on customer requirements
• Indoors or outdoors, both at company and customer site
• Wearing protective safety gear that includes safety boots, overall, helmet, safety goggles at all all work sites.
