6. VACANCY NO: 06/2021 SUPERINTENDENT (ELECTRICAL),CSG 10 (JG K) - FOUR (4) POSTS
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary Scale: Ksh.38,270 – 51,170 p.m
House allowance: Ksh.16,500p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh.5,000p.m
Leave allowance: Ksh.6,000 pa
(a) Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade an officer must have:
i. Served in the grade of Senior Inspector (Electrical), CSG 11 or a comparable and relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years;
ii. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician Certificate Part III or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
iii. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
(b) Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
i. Participating in monitoring/supervision and evaluation of Electrical Power projects;
ii. Assisting in estimation of electrical load demand and preliminary estimation of projects implementation cost of rural electrification projects;
iii. Participating in surveying and mapping out all the public institutions in the country that are far away from the national grid; and
iv. Assisting in facilitating and coordinating customer connectivity and electricity access.
