Position:    Technical sales executive
Location:    Nairobi

The sales executive will generate new business sales opportunities. He/she will gather and analyze new market and customer information to identify demand for Kaluari products and services and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies. He/she will regularly update the leadership team with reports on all business projects.

As a sales executive, you will be pivotal in executing the company’s growth strategy. You will be in contact with IT managers, CTOs, CFOs, COOs and CEOs of small and medium-sized clients, to identify the challenges they are facing and assist them in finding solutions.

Role and Responsibilities
•    Proactively generate, identify, qualify and negotiate new business from prospects (primarily within our Ideal customer profile)
•    Consistently achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targeted sales quota
•    Prospect, qualify, and close solution sales
•    Manage CRM tool/pipeline
•    Explain the company’s value proposition
•    Schedule 2-5 qualified new account appointments per week
•    Maintain a designated number of appointments weekly in various phases of the sales cycle
•    Develop customer presentations and participate in customer meetings
•    Develop clear, specific, action-oriented account plans to develop prospects
•    Establish a network of individuals who will identify and refer potential customers to Kaluari
•    Attend industry network functions such as breakfast, lunch and after-work events
•    Identify industry group membership that could yield opportunities for new business
•    Gather and analyze information to identify: new markets and clients, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies
•    Create strategies that increase brand awareness, drive sales, and generate new business leads
•    Engage prospective and current clients in an energetic, professional and positive manner through various brand marketing and promotional efforts
•    Strategize and execute social media plans
•    Conduct pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing
•    Negotiate contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy
•    Collaborate, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities or trade shows
•    Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identify need for new products and services and make recommendations to leadership
•    Develop and apply full understanding of Kaluari products and sales methodology
•    Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
•    Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
•    Prior B2B or B2C sales experience
•    At least 1 years’ experience solution selling in the technology industry or other relevant field
•    Follows a methodical sales process (evaluation plans, email/phone cadence, networking)
•    Skilled in using tools such as CRM, Contact Databases, Social Media
•    Effective use of internal & external resources (technical resources, partners, industry groups)
•    Proven track record of successful selling experience
•    Strong contact and networking base
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•    Excellent time management and organizational skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously while monitoring timelines

•    Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-moving and fluid environment
•    Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
•    Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
•    Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
•    Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to management direction
•    Possess the personality to engage with C-Suite executives and senior managers successfully
•    Proven track record as a strong prospector
•    Positive attitude and desire to work in a rapid-growth professional environment
•    Technical aptitude: Either you are in love with technology, or you have a desire to learn how technology impacts business and have the aptitude to understand its impact
•    Phenomenal phone skills with the ability to convey enthusiasm and energy
•    Positive attitude and desire to work in a rapid-growth professional environment
•    Minimum of 2 years continuous employment history
