Technical Sales Officer

Job Description
- Marketing and sales of the company products and equipments
- Providing clients with sales advice and technical support on a range of biomedical products and/or commodities
- Identifying new clients and/or businesses
- Negotiating business contracts and reviewing sales performance
- Collecting and analyzing data from clients
- Translating and explaining highly complex information to customers / clients, focusing on revealing how a product or an equipment can solve specific problems
- Using technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers the usefulness of a product and how it may suit the customer better than other products in the market
- Post-sale monitoring of the disinfection, washing and stylization of company apparatus / equipments for quality assurance
- Mentoring and coaching trainees and colleagues
- Advising company management on compliance with all government and/or regulatory body requirements
- Writing of daily reports for ease of client follow-up

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job
- Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
- Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
- Computer application skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Must have at least one year experience in sales and marketing of medical equipments or medical commodities.
- Must have at least one year hands-on technical experience in handling molecular laboratory or medical equipment.
- Must have solid background knowledge on at least one of the following: medical engineering; HIV viral load testing; hepatitis B or DNA sequencing (knowledge on two or more will be an added advantage).
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- A team builder with excellent interpersonal / people skills.
- A culturally sensitive individual.
