Main purpose of job:
To schedule transport requests and support the Transport team in the daily running of the transport services.Â
Job holder will have a responsibility of making sure all transport requests are scheduled into the transport booking system, all drivers are informed of their itineraries and all administration handled effectively.
Managing, coordinating and scheduling daily transport requests via online transport booking system. Management of driver schedules optimizing working hours/shift system for greater efficiency of the section and to also ensure drivers get adequate rest. Monthly reporting on various aspects of the section including overtime hours and number of monthly bookings, Rota for safaris, visits programs, weekend and holidays. Developing and monitoring monthly driverâs roster schedule and coordinating drivers leave and off days. Communicating effectively with clients to provide updates on delivery times, delays, and relevant information. Maintaining phone contact and/or use vehicle tracking system to maintain contact with the drivers as a means of ensuring smooth flow of operations. Work with security team on ensuring compliance of Security Policy for field trips. Provide and maintain good customer service and solve problems. As an integral part of the team ensure that customers are highly regarded and receive exceptional service. Communicating effectively with clients to provide updates on delivery times, delays, and relevant information. Responsibility for maintaining customer feedback database on transport services Coordinates monthly drivers meetings in consultation with Transport Manager Advising the Transport manager on driversâ performance and behavior. Identifying areas for process improvement and contributing to strategies for operational efficiency e.g. optimization of fleet management system capabilities in relation to transport bookings. Monitor taxi usage by ensuring appropriate and optimal utilization of taxi resources in accordance with the transport policy. Monitoring and evaluation of taxi services contract performance to ensure compliance with set KPIs and customer satisfaction.Essential qualifications, skills and experience 1 Experience in transport planning-rostering and scheduling & good IT skills A Diploma or itâs equivalent Possess good oral and written communication skills Evidence good customer service skills including ability to handle difficult customers while working under pressure Experience working with fleet management systems (FMS) Desirable qualifications, skills and experience 1 Have previous first-hand experience of supervising a large team of drivers in a busy environment.
