Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong surgical skills, and a commitment to animal welfare while providing exceptional veterinary services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures on a variety of animals.
- Diagnose, treat illnesses, injuries, and health problems in animals.
- Conduct thorough examinations and provide preventive care, including vaccinations and wellness check-ups.
Give vaccinations.
Carry out diagnostic tests including radiographs.
- Educate pet owners on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and general care.
- Collaborate with other veterinary professionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with all veterinary regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Surgeon.
- Veterinary Medicine degree from a recognized university.
- Mandatory registration with the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB).
- Strong surgical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners.
- Proficiency in veterinary software and technology is a plus.
