CIVIL ENGINEER

The company is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of Civil Engineer with interest/experience in water resource development. Candidates should be competent in the design, construction supervision and project management of a wide range of water supply and water resource related projects. Candidates must have competent analytical and communication skills, be a team player, be output orientated, and willing and able to undertake fieldwork in any part of Kenya or East Africa. The position will be based in Nanyuki. The position will require fieldwork as it relates to specific projects. Rural Focus can offer training and experience to achieve full registration as a professional engineer if the candidate is not already registered.

The candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:

• BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognised university (minimum upper second);

• At least 8 years proven professional experience in the design and construction of water supply and/or water resource development projects;

• Registration with ERB as a graduate or professional engineer;

• Preferable MSc in civil or agricultural engineering or similar.
