Job Description
The International Rescue Committeeis seeking Community Facilitators (CFs) to work in Nairobi on the second waveof the Re:BUiLD Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). The facilitators willsupport participant registration and intervention implementation that willcommence in June 2024 and will target 4000+ eligible participants. Re:BUiLD, isa five-year, multi-stakeholder urban livelihoods program implemented in Kampalaand Nairobi providing livelihood interventions to urban refugees and vulnerablehost community members to improve their economic self-reliance. The CFs will bepart of the Re:BUiLD project team under the IRC for a fixed period of time.
Qualified urban refugees fromall nationalities possessing a refugee ID are strongly encouraged to apply .
Statement Of Work :
The Community Facilitators will beencouraged to perform the following roles (not limited to):
Client mobilization, recruitment,and registration. Conduct client informationsessions, onboarding, and monitoring. Attending to RCT clients’inquiries. Facilitating weekly client groupsessions. Business monitoring, verificationand sharing of reports. Translation and transcription asrequired by the Research team. To perform other duties asassigned and agreed upon with the supervisor.
Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in SocialSciences or Humanities or any other related field. Experience in communitymobilization and facilitation. Data collection experience is an addedadvantage. Experience working with vulnerablecommunities. Strong communication andreport-writing skills. Flexible approach to the changingnature of work. Ability to work effectively bothindependently and within a team with varied strengths. Computer skills, especially Ms.Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Applicants able to communicate in Swahili,French, Oromo, Somali, Amharic, Arabic, Congolese, Rwandese are encouragedto apply. All applicants should have KenyaRevenue Authority (KRA) PIN . Availability: (June- October2024) Willingness to work in any of thefollowing neighborhoods: Kenya [Kitengela, Umoja, Kayole, Mowlkem,Kasarani, Githurai, Dagoreti south, Kawangware, Kikuyu, Kangemi, Ongata Rongai,Eastleigh, Ruiru, Jamhuri, Jogoo road]
