Field Extension Assistants –2 Positions.

MAPI Enterprises Limited is a general agricultural farm that undertakes commercial Production of Crops, Fodder, and Dairy farming and marketing of agricultural produce based in Ndere Alego location, Alego Usonga Sub-County Siaya County. 

The listed position may lead to employment depending on individual performance during the attachment period with the enterprise. 

Terms of Service Attachment – 2 Positions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Community Development/ General agriculture.

• Good understanding of farm record keeping skills and knowledge

• Good communication skills

• Good community mobilization skills

• teaching skills

• Marketing skills

• Good negotiation skills

• knowledge of the animals they are dealing with, including their life and breeding cycles.

• knowledge of how to use and maintain farm equipment and machinery.

• practical skills for tasks such as fencing.

• Good team work skills

Responsibilities.

• Mobilization of farmers

• Training of farmers 

• Keep records

• Market the farm products 

• Maintain farm production and sales records 

• Assist with all aspects of crop farming, including planting, spraying, harvest and post-harvest management etc.

• Assist in the planting and harvesting of crops and in the care of the farm animals.

• Preformed care of farm animals that includes feeding, cleaning, and bathing

• Carry out Post-harvest management practices and activities for the farm produce

• Marketing of the farm produce and by-products

• Any other activity as may be assigned by the farm manager
