Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Quality Control Officer. In this role you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within our fish farm operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will oversee processes, monitor product quality, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Job Description/Requirements

Quality Control and Assurance

• Develop and implement quality control processes for all stages of the production chain – feed to fish.

• Conduct regular inspections and audits on processes and products to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Collaborate with operations and sales teams to establish and maintain quality benchmarks.


Process Improvement and Data Analysis

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and product quality.

• Analyze data and trends to proactively address potential quality issues.

• Collect and analyze data on quality metrics and key performance indicators.


Compliance Management and Training

• Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

• Conduct internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Provide training to staff on quality assurance protocols and procedures.

• Foster a culture of quality consciousness and compliance awareness.

• Ensure that team members are adequately trained to meet quality objectives.


Cross-Functional Collaboration and Reporting

• Collaborate with production, operations, and other relevant departments to address quality concerns.

• Act as a liaison between different teams to facilitate effective communication on quality-related matters.

• Work closely with suppliers to maintain quality standards in the supply chain.

• Prepare regular reports on quality assurance performance for management review.

• Identify trends and areas for improvement based on data analysis.


Skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Aquaculture, Biology or related discipline.

• Proven experience in quality assurance within the aquaculture or food production industry.

• Strong knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Leadership experience and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
