The Nasio Model As you can see below – our model supports the majority of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The goals represent the global community’s next step in ending poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and tackling climate change for the next 15 years

Duties and responsibilities:

Line management of the youth department, ensuring all programmes are of high quality, delivered professionally and positively impact the lives of young people. Supervise the youth department staff, ensuring the team is working efficiently in all aspects of project delivery, monitoring and reporting. Working with our GMK Medical Centre team to collect data that ensures programmes are relevant and meet needs, as well as all impact analysis being inline with sub-county and county level data. Ensure all programmes are delivered on time and to the highest standard. Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on previous and current data for the peer education programme. Using this data to develop the strategy for elevating the youth programme to a higher level. To devise M&E for all youth projects to measure and report on impact. Compiling all progress update reports for funders monitoring progress, these must be heavily data driven. To work on the scaling of the peer education project, creating a clear strategy and model that can be replicated and scaled to reach larger numbers of young people. To create a close working relationship and develop partnership with the MoH to gather information on HIV, teenage pregnancy, SGBV and STIs. To create efficient data collection tools to ensure quick and easy data collection. To lead on the administration of all youth projects including requisitions, MOUs, working with the accounts team to manage expenditure for the projects, ensuring the objectives of the projects are met and monitoring the teaching information and processes for the projects. To provide weekly update reports to the Project Manager for Community, Youth and Agriculture. These are to show the impact of the new strategy and to outline any potential issues or problems. Improve relationships and communication with major funders, such as the Egmont Trust, to access large amounts of future funding. Any other responsibilities that may be added from time to time.

Skills and Qualities:

Degree or Diploma in Management/Social Work or Related field Track record of ability to plan work and develop strategy for growth – must take a strategic approach to all work, everything must be planned to advance the level of impact of the project. Experience in grant writing/reporting to funders. The individual must have experience in building relationships with funders and compiling formal reports. Experience working on community or youth projects. The individual must understand the potential problems associated with working in the community and have clear experience in successfully working in the community and/or with young people. Leadership and Teamwork. Must be flexible and able to lead and work as part of an already established team. Proactivity. Must be able to see a problem and act on it immediately, the individual must be self-driven and passionate about finding ways to carry out the objectives of the project. Communication. It is vital that the individual can communicate effectively and clearly, verbally and in English
