- minimum of 5 years experience supervising commercial beef livestock herds.
- Must have key veterinary knowledge as well as hands on experience of veterinary procedures.
- Must be fully computer literate on Microsoft Word and Excel as well as email

Job Description
- Responsibility for all livestock activities for:
- Dairy – 11 F1 Holstein (No plans to expand)
- Small livestock – 100 head of indigenous goats (No plans to expand)
- Small livestock – Plans to establish a sizeable herd of indigenous sheep
- Beef – Plans to establish a breeding herd of prime beef cattle, 1,000 head per annum
- Will be required to plan and oversee all daily, weekly and monthly programs in accordance with the annual livestock program, guiding the stock teams to ensure company standard livestock practices are maintained
- Will be required to ensure that budgeted production targets are being met in terms of both quality and quantity of livestock and finished products
- Will be required to monitor all livestock related activities including but not limited to: Health, nutrition, pest and disease control and security
- Will be required to work with management on all planning and forecasting
