Village Director Gulu -- SOS707

Job Location: Gulu.
Report To: Programme Director Entebbe.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide leadership for the Family Based Care (FBC) programme at location.
•Lead the planning, budgeting and implementation of the FBC programme’s action plan.
•Lead the regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the FBC programme’s action
plan.
•Ensure the quality of child care at location is within the framework of the SOS child care model.
•Be a guardian and take an active role in the growth, development and education of each SOS
child/youth at location.
•Support the SOS families and mothers in working towards the best interest of the children and
youth at location.
•Lead and build a motivated performance driven FBC programme staff team at location.
•Participate in developing and maintaining relations with local and international sponsors of the FBC
programme at location.

Qualification:

•A minimum of a university degree from a reputable institution.

Experience:

•Minimum of 5 years post work related experience with child/youth care programmes, with 2 years
at a supervisory level.
•Experience in planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programmes.
•Experience in developing and maintaining donor relations.

Skills and Knowledge:

•Planning and organisation skills.
•Representing and networking skills.
•People management skills such as training, coaching and mentoring.
•Written communication skills
•Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
