The Activities/Child Sponsorship Liaison: 

• Will attend and document through photography and videography all sporting events and activities involving Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children 

• Will maintain an organized spreadsheet of mail, gifts, emails, and other items that arrive from child sponsors for Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children

• Will deliver mail, gifts, emails, and other items from child sponsors to Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children. Will document this through video and pictures and will edit and make the video to be sent to the child sponsor

• Will attend and document through photography and videography any events involving Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children and/or staff (e.g., MTOTO home visits, Maendeleo outreaches, school trips, community outreaches, etc.) 

• Will take photos of Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children as deemed necessary by the Child Sponsorship Coordinator. This includes, but is not limited to new website pictures, Christmas pictures, and First Day of School pictures

• Will coordinate with the US Office Manager to keep an updated spreadsheet of each Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children and their individual sponsors

• Will coordinate sessions for visitors and visiting teams to interact on a personal level with their sponsored child

• Will promote child sponsorship of Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children within Kenya through corporate gifts, church partnerships, and individuals, among other avenues

• Will promote child sponsorship of Cornerstone, LEAP, and Naomi’s Village students and children with visitors and visiting teams

• Will coordinate with the Social Media Manager for photography and videography needs

• Will provide any additional assistance as required by the Child Sponsorship Coordinator  

Requirements 

• Degree in social sciences, journalism, communications or related field from a recognized institution. 

• Experience in developing corporate communication strategies and programs.

• Photography and photography editing experience

•  Video and video editing experience

• Graphic design experience

• Strong analytical and computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Power Point

• Ability to schedule and organize events

• Ability to work across various teams with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build consensus and navigate complex operating environments

• Public speaking skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swahili and English 

• Strong interpersonal, administrative, problem solving and leadership skills

• High energy person who enjoys working with children of all ages 

• Mature Christian with deep grounding in the orthodox tenets of Biblical faith
