Animal Health Technician - Siaya

We are an upcoming dairy production farm in Uyoma, Rarieda sub- county on Siaya County promoting commercial dairy farming that consists of: 1) Fodder production, 2) herd establishment and 3 Months) barn house construction and maintenance.

In its pursuit to achieve the above sustainably, Ogoma Foundation Farm is seeking to engage the support and services of agricultural students from recognized agricultural institutions on a three attachment basis from May 2024 through to August 2024 and if they proved suitable, they may be considered for internship and thereafter on full employment on the same farm.

Nature of Engagement: Attachment

Qualification

•  Diploma or Certificate in animal health

•  Good understanding of animal diseases and pests

•  Good team work

•  Good communication skills

•  Ability to early detection of animal diseases

Roles and Responsibilities

•  Carry out animal vaccination

•  Spraying of the animals

•  milking of dairy cows

•  De-worming of the animals

•  Feeding of the animals

•  Feed formulation

•  Animal treatment
