API/ESB Engineer at I&M Bank

Job Description

I&M Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of I&M Holdings Limited, a publicly quoted company at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). The bank possesses a rich heritage in banking.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support on all ESB, API service for all entities across the Group. Provide administration and support for all channel systems. Monitor all channels for availability and performance and prepare reports of observations and findings. Monitor and implement security controls. Implement changes in parameters, configurations, and deployment of patches. Participate in new product rollouts, testing, documentation, and operational improvement projects. Document of all processes and procedures related ESB, API service. Coordinate with vendors to carry out preventive maintenance activities for enterprise systems ensuring SLA terms. Ensure Uptime of services being offered through banking channels as per SLA. Comprehend and propagate Bank and ICT strategies and initiatives to all team members. Formulate, document, and maintain a service catalogue of Alternate Banking Channel Systems. Adhere to Bank’s policies and procedures in managing and support ESB, API service.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. At least 5 years of experience in managing and supporting ESB, API services in a banking environment. Good understanding of Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, JAVA, C++, C#, .NET Good understanding of; UNIX / Linux / MS Windows Server (REST, SOUP), Programming Languages (Java, C++, C#,.net ,java, JavaScript, PL-SQL, XML,JSON) Oracle, SQL, Web Technologies (J2EE, IIS, Apache, AWS), Cloud computing Hands on working knowledge on Fiorano ESB systems an added advantage.
