Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their international client in the manufacturing industry is seeking
is seeking an experienced Assistant Operator to support production operations involving EMBA
printing machines or similar corrugated/box plant machinery. The Assistant Operator (EMBA
Printing Machines) will ensure machines operate efficiently, safely, and within quality standards
under the supervision of senior operators and the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with setup, operation, and monitoring of EMBA printing machines and related equipment.
• Prepare machines for production runs, including mounting printing plates, configuring settings,
and ensuring correct job specifications.
• Monitor machine performance throughout shifts; make adjustments in consultation with senior
operators to maintain output quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished products for print accuracy, quality, and conformance to customer/job
specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to ensure equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and report technical issues promptly to maintenance or
production leads.
• Maintain accurate production logs, job sheets, and quality reports.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and maintain a high standard of housekeeping on the shop
floor.

Qualifications
✓ Minimum 3 years’ experience operating EMBA printing machines or similar corrugated box
production equipment in a high-volume plant.
✓ Strong understanding of machine operation, setup procedures, and production workflows.
✓ Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor machine adjustments and preventive
maintenance.
✓ Good attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
✓ Ability to read job specifications, machine manuals, and process instructions.
✓ Capable of working effectively within a team and taking direction from senior operators and
supervisors.
