We are an audit firm based in Thika, in response to our continued growth, we are looking for dynamic and solution-oriented individuals to join our team in our Assurance department.

AUDIT MANAGER-ASSURANCE
JOB SUMMARY
To execute and supervise audit and assurance related tasks for the clients in accordance with the engagement terms.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Provide support to pre-audit planning and approve audit plans for all audit engagements supervised.
2. Carry out end of year financial audit: Planning, fieldwork, reporting and wrap up according to the laid down firm’s operating procedures and IAS.
3. Control your audit engagements within the timelines, budgets and risk management procedures.
4. Preparation and compilation of end of year financial accounts for the clients in line with IFRS, filling tax returns with K.R.A and prepare audit engagement file in accordance to the set standards.
5. Prepare and review tax computations and relevant appendices for the allowances claimed.
6. Oversee interim and other specific audit engagements- align the team to the timelines and guide in planning and execution of the audits.
7. Be responsible for capacity building, managing and reviewing audit assistants and interns.
8. Develop and implement continuous improvement activities to the audit process under the guidance of the Team Lead- Assurance.
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure all the client’s needs are met in time.
10. Ensure achievement of audit billing targets and collection of outstanding fees.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform any other audit and accounting tasks that may be allocated from time to time.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a university recognized in Kenya.
• Or/and be a C.P.A (K) finalist.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar position in an auditing firm- experience in use of an audit software is compulsory.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles and auditing standards and requirements (IFRS, IAS)
• Highly PC literate with good knowledge of Windows software, audit and accounting softwares.
• Possess problem-solving skills, analytical skills and have time perspective.
• Supervisory and people management skills.
• Highly organized and able to work independently and as part of a team with minimum supervision.
• Possess good communication skills and customer care.
