GSP Healthcare is an established medical supplies company dealing in the supply of medical & laboratory equipment and supplies. We seek to hire a biomedical technician to install, train, maintain, test, calibrate, and repair different types of medical equipment.
Overview
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Complete necessary service and repair documentation following both company and client policies & procedures during installation, service or support
• Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule in time.
• Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment in line with the company’s installation and calibration practices
• Add value to the company’s image, gain and share market through support for products supplied to clients
• Support sales function with the competitive edge of the Company’s product lines
• Plan PM calls, sales and renewals
• Get service contracts for maintenance of equipment supplied to clients
Responsibilities
- Installs new equipment by adjusting, establishing, testing, and calibrating performance
- Approves potential biomedical equipment by guaranteeing that codes are adhered to
- Operate, maintain and perform minor repairs on complex biomedical technologies
- Maintains supplies inventory by foreseeing needs, counting stock, placing orders, and verifying delivery
- Directs operation of biomedical equipment by providing demonstrations, supplying information and data, instructing clients in the care and use of equipment, and offering references periodically
- Keeps biomedical equipment in working order by performing tests, following preventive maintenance guides, repairing and troubleshooting break downs, evaluating service contracts, ordering special services if necessary, and maintaining inventories
- Prepares reports by analysing, collecting, and recapping trends and information
- Updates job skills and knowledge by reading technical journals, taking advantage of educational opportunities, and maintaining professional networks
- Carries out the goals of the organization by exploring opportunities to add significance to job duties, and by accomplishing different and innovative requests
- Interact with medical professionals and customers
- Maintains a healthy and safe working environment by fulfilling and recommending procedures, performing safety tests, complying with codes, and guiding and training health care and medical personnel.
- To perform any other related task as may be required from time to time and as may be assigned by your supervisor
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in biomedical engineering/technology or in related field
- 3+ years of experience in a medical or laboratory setting
- Equipment calibration and repair and Good technical skills
- Exceptional Customer Service and Interpersonal skills
- Documentation and Record keeping skills
- Strong numeracy and Data Analysis skills
- Decision making skills and deadline oriented
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
