Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their international client in the manufacturing industry is seeking
an experienced and skilled Bobst 160 Operator to join their production team in a busy
corrugated box manufacturing environment. The Bobst 160 Operator will have hands-on
experience operating Bobst flat die cutting machinery and demonstrate strong technical and
leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate and manage Bobst 160/flat die cutting machines efficiently and safely in a high-volume
production environment.
• Prepare, set up, and adjust machines for production runs, including tooling, dies, and cutting
setups.
• Perform basic repairs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize machine performance to ensure
consistent quality output.
• Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, production data, and maintenance
activities.
• Lead and mentor shop floor team members, ensuring adherence to quality standards and daily
production targets.
• Work closely with production planners, supervisors, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth
workflow.
• Support autonomous and preventive maintenance activities to improve machine availability and
reduce downtime.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.

Qualifications
✓ Minimum 5 years’ experience operating Bobst flat die machines or equivalent machinery in a
busy corrugated/box plant.
✓ Strong practical knowledge of flat die preparations, machine setup, adjustments, and minor
repairs.
✓ Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience managing production teams.
✓ Understanding of autonomous and preventive maintenance processes.
✓ Diploma in Engineering, Printing Technology, or related technical field.
