Salary: KSh 70,250 and KSh 87,825

Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their international client in the manufacturing industry is seeking
skilled and safety-conscious Boom Lift Operators to join their operations team. This role
requires an individual who is mechanically and electrically adept, highly adaptable, and capable of
operating boom lifts and related equipment to support various project and maintenance needs. The
ideal candidate will be a multitasker with technical know-how to perform routine maintenance
checks, troubleshoot basic electrical/mechanical issues, and ensure safe, efficient operation of lifting
equipment.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate boom lifts and aerial work platforms safely and efficiently according to standard
operating procedures and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on boom lifts (mechanical and
electrical components), reporting defects promptly.
• Support site operations by positioning and maneuvering lifts to access work areas for
installation, maintenance, inspection or construction tasks.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure
equipment readiness.
• Assist technicians, engineers and project teams during equipment setup, relocation, and
teardown at job sites.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including use of PPE, hazard reporting, and compliance
with company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and records of operations, maintenance activities, and equipment
usage.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflows and enhance
operational efficiency.
• Participate actively in safety training and toolbox talks on a regular basis.

Qualifications
✓ Certification or formal training for boom lift operation.
✓ Prior experience with corrugation/box/carton manufacturing environments.
✓ Proven experience operating boom lifts, scissor lifts or similar heavy aerial equipment.
✓ Strong mechanical and basic electrical understanding; ability to diagnose and assist with minor
repairs.
✓ Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or allied technical fields.
✓ Excellent multitasking ability and a hands-on, proactive approach.
✓ Commitment to safety with solid understanding of workplace safety practices.
✓ Good communication and teamwork skills.
