Roles and Responsibilities:

Transcribe print material into grade II English and Kiswahili Braille. Transcribe printed mathematical statements and/or expressions into mathematics Braille notation. Transcribe printed music into music Braille notation. Transcribe printed material in a foreign language (English, French, German, Spanish and/or Arabic, etc.) into Braille. Debraille material in English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Music and Foreign Language Braille into print. Using a computer, Braille translation software and a Braille embosser, produce hard copy Braille material. Any other related duty as assigned.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized university Certificate in Braille Proficiency from a recognized institution. Computer literacy certificate. At least three years relevant work experience in a well-established institution Have knowledge and experience in working with braille translation software and Braille embossers
