Our client - situated in Kenya, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced.
Business Development Manager
Reporting to the Commercial Director (Africa), the successful candidate will be responsible for client current and future position in East Africa. The role will be responsible to maximize value for all its stakeholders and achieve its business strategy. This entails management across local and global supply chains, developing and implementing a sustainable business strategy to channel fresh subtropical fruit from East Africa into the markets.
Key Performance Areas
Effectively documenting client Kenya strategy to align with client Group strategy. Continuously analysing and reporting on industry trends. Reporting on progress of client and East Africa against group strategy. Effectively documenting and formulating project and business plans. Facilitate technical engagement and assistance to Kenyan and Tanzanian growers. Generate avocado intelligence on the Easter Africa Avocado industry. Coordinate support functions including packaging, documentation etc, to ensure successful container deliveries.Minimum Requirements
A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Commerce/Trade/Business or Marketing . An MBA would be advantageous. Minimum of 5- years senior managerial and sales experience within the export fruit environment. Knowledge of the fresh fruit production / marketing industry . Knowledge of the Middle and Far Eastern markets & customer base would be advantageous. Experience with working on f ruit software systems and managing an ERP environment. A strong knowledge of Excel i.e able to do Pivot tables, V-lookups etc .The Company offers a Total Guaranteed Remuneration Package .
