ABOUT THE COMPANY

Professional bodies accrediting our courses include the Nursing Council of Kenya, the Medical Practitioners and Dentists, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, among many. Mentoring teams students The dean of students and the academic departments oversees a mentorship and career advisory service for students during the time of study. At the end of the course, students are assisted to develop "employer attracting" resumes and coached for interviews. Mentoring teams sometimes consisting of alumni provide industry/ market insight, employability skills. These teams can assist you with contacts of potential employers.
JOB SUMMARY
To plan, coordinate, and implement the University's internal and external communication strategies inorder to enhance institutional visibility, protect and promote the University's corporate image, supporteffective information flow, and strengthen engagement with stakeholders in line with the University'smission, vision, and strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities of the Officer will include but not be limited to:1. Implementing corporate communications policies, strategies and programmes2. Implementing media relations and internal communications programmes3. Preparing media supplements and documentaries, press/media releases and features.4. Coverage of University activities, both video and photography5. Managing and updating social media platforms6. Developing a publicity framework for purposes of public awareness7. Prepare and disseminate corporate publicity information materials like posters, banners,calendars, diaries, prospectus, monthly update newsletters8. Maintain a photo gallery for the University9.Coordinating media/advocacy fora's;10.Developing and updating a database for media contacts;11.Providing communication linkage between the University and stakeholders;12.Participate in organizing and coordinating and coverage of University exhibitionsmarketing activities both video and photography 13.Editing, proof reading and production of communication materials, publications, press,statements/releases and writing opinions.14.Provide the necessary editorial support including review of structure, clarity of language, grammar, formatting, presentation, and alignment of University policies15. Ensuring adherence to the corporate brand;16.Developing information education communication materials17. Perform anyother duties as may be assigned from time to time
