JOB SUMMARY
Minimum Requirements1–3 years of experience operating or supporting compressed air systems, industrial equipment, or utility systemsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic knowledge of compressors, mechanical systems, and equipment monitoringAbility to read gauges, meters, and basic technical documentationWillingness to work rotating shifts or on‑call schedules as requiredMust possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationallyPassport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire dateAbility to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi‑national workforceExperience supporting Navy, DoD, or industrial utility operationsFamiliarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety proceduresStrong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.Valid country driver’s licenseAbility to obtain country‑specific visa(s) in accordance with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Compressed Air Systems Operator is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of compressed air systems in accordance with Navy operational standards and facility requirements. Responsibilities include starting, stopping, and monitoring compressors, dryers, receivers, and associated equipment to ensure reliable delivery of compressed air to supported systems and operations.The operator conducts routine inspections, monitors system pressures and performance indicators, and records operational data in logs and reports. This role includes identifying abnormal conditions, responding to alarms, and notifying maintenance or supervisory personnel of system irregularities in accordance with established procedures.Additional duties include performing housekeeping and preventive maintenance tasks, assisting with minor troubleshooting, supporting system testing, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational protocols. The Compressed Air Systems Operator supports continuous, mission‑critical infrastructure operations in a remote, team‑oriented environment.
