Location: Mombasa, Kenya
Salary: Ksh 70,000 per Month
Role Overview:
As a Credit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the credit department's operations, ensuring adherence to credit policies and procedures, and mitigating financial risks. You will analyze financial data, supervise staff, and maintain communication with customers to address credit-related matters.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train credit department staff as necessary.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to assess customer creditworthiness and minimize financial risk.
- Analyze financial data and credit reports to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments according to established terms.
- Address credit-related issues and resolve disputes with customers.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications:
a) At least 5 years of relevant experience in the cooperative movement, with at least 2 years at the supervisory level.
b) Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting.
c) Diploma in Co-operative Management from the Co-operative College of Kenya or a relevant institution (an added advantage).
d) Professional qualifications in Credit Management (CCP) or equivalent.
e) Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office and experience in Microsoft 365.
f) Strong understanding of credit analysis, credit, and risk management policies.
