Job Description/Requirements
Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
ü Collaborating with the managers to ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
ü Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
ü Carry out inspections of workplaces and take necessary action to ensure compliance.
ü Respond to and investigate concerns/complaints from employees/management and take appropriate action.
ü Investigate accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace.
ü Establish and chair the health and safety committee
ü Educate and train employees on health and safety. This training should be structured and training program should be shared with HR Manager monthly.
ü Ensure all employees that suffer accidents are accompanied to the hospital.
ü Ensure all cases are reported to our insurer and DOSH in time.
ü Assist in control over housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance of the plant at all times.
ü Ensure timely and proper issuance of PPEs to staff.
ü Ensure employees are well prepared for emergencies such as fire in liaison with the project manager.
ü Keeping records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective/preventive actions.
ü Organizing and conducting OSH and environmental training and induction programs.
ü Liaising with contractors and visitors to ensure full compliance to company OHS policies and contractor safety management procedure.
ü Implementing the company waste program, carrying out daily environmental and safety inspections.
Reporting & Documentation.
ü Submit health and safety reports on weekly and monthly basis.
ü Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained. Prepare and submit monthly training plan.
ü Establish a full program of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
ü Timely reporting of all accidents/incidents to relevant bodies – management/Dosh/Insurance.
ü Ensure health and safety board is updated on a daily basis.
ü Any other reports as may be requested from time to time.
Other Roles.
ü Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
