The person will be responsible for overseeing all of KEHPCA's programmes in line with KEHPCA’s goal to improve quality palliative care across Kenya. The person will support the delivery of programs that contribute to improvements in palliative care IN KENYA.

Job Description/Requirements
Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA) is a non-governmental organization that exists to promote access to quality palliative care for all in need across the country. It has over 15 years of dedicated advocacy for palliative care and is a powerful voice for persons living with palliative care needs. Palliative care is a human right, and every Kenyan in need should have access to it in line with the Kenyan Constitution, patients' rights charter, Sustainable Development Goals, and the Universal Health Coverage(UHC) guidelines.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Aptitude:
- A master’s degree in a relevant field such as medicine, nursing, or social sciences
- Palliative care qualification or qualification in a related discipline preferred.
- Basic degree in PC or a related field
Job-related experience and knowledge:
- 3 years experience in development work, preferably in Kenya.
- Knowledge of Kenya Essential Medicines List
- 3 years’ experience in palliative care
- A proven track record of successfully and ethically managing projects and programmes.
- Extensive experience in managing teams and a proven track record as a facilitative, inspirational leader.
Job Description:
As a member of the Senior Management Team, The Director of Programmes will:
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of KEHPCA's strategy.
- Work collaboratively with partner organizations in developing Institution plans for KEHPCA's programmes.
- Manage the funding for KEHPCA’s programmes and projects
- Oversee the delivery of institutional palliative care development interventions that promote sustainability
- Ensure that KEHPCA’s programmes impact the delivery of best practices in palliative care
- Lead and empower the programmes team and build partner capacity and work in palliative careÂ
- Carry out other duties as requested by the Executive DirectorÂ
