TANATHI Water works Development Agency (TAWWDA) transformed from Tanathi Water Services Board(TAWSB) via Legal notice no.27 in the Kenya Gazette Supplement no.59 of 26th.April It is among the Eight Water Works Agencies serving various areas of jurisdiction in our Country. Tanathi Water Works Development Agency covers Kitui,Makueni,Kajiado and Machakos.It was created to provide bulk water and sewerage Infrastructure in the said Areas. In terms of section 68 of the Water act ,the powers and functions of Tanathi Water Works Development Agency are,

Duties and responsibilities will entail: –

Carrying out routine checks on vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems and tyre pressure; Detecting and reporting vehicle defects on time; Ensuring vehicle cleanliness; Driving the vehicle as authorized; Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road, passengers and goods therein; Maintaining daily work ticket; Ensuring routine service and maintenance of the vehicle; Timely reporting of accidents and follow up of police abstract; and Vehicle inspection and keeping up-to-date insurance documents.

Person Specifications

For appointment an officer must have: –

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean grade “D+”; Valid driving license for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive as B, C, C1; Valid Certificate of Good Conduct; First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one week from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized institution; An accident-free driving period of 3 years’; Proficiency in computer application skills; Occupational Trade Test Grade II for drivers; and Meets the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
