ABOUT THE COMPANY

Maseno University founded in 1991, is the only university on the globe that lies along the Equator (00). It is one of the seven public universities in Kenya. The University is located in Maseno Township along Kisumu-Busia road, 25 km from Kisumu City and approximately 400 km west of Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. The University also shares its boundaries with Vihiga and Kisumu County.

JOB SUMMARY

 Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, orrelated field; At least Five (5) years of relevant experience in ICT systems management, preferably in anAcademic setting; Demonstrated expertise in managing online learning platforms and ICT teams; Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISCO, or equivalent) will be an added advantage; Proficiency in Moodle's architecture, PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL, and practical; and Experience with Moodle plugins, backups, and security

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Serve as the principal technical advisor to the Director, eCampus; Oversee management and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) and otherdigital platforms; Provide expert management of Moodle’s architecture, Moodle plugins, backups, and Security; Supervise and coordinate the work of all technical staff at the eCampus; Lead innovation in digital infrastructure to support online teaching and learning; Ensure timely technical support to staff and students using eCampus services; and Prepare reports and strategic plans for technology deployment in line with University.
