Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their international client in the manufacturing industry is seeking
experienced Electrical Technicians to join their technical team responsible for the preventive
and predictive maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems,
especially on corrugator and converting machinery. The Electrical Technicians will be in charge
of maintaining high equipment uptime, ensuring safe plant operations and supporting production
excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance on industrial machinery, with
emphasis on corrugator and converting machines.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, drives,
sensors, PLCs and related equipment.
• Install and commission new electrical systems and machinery in line with technical and safety
standards.
• Conduct regular machine health checks and implement corrective actions to minimize
downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and machine manuals.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out procedures and company QHSE
standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report work performed to supervisors.
Qualifications
✓ Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, repair, installation and
commissioning especially in corrugator and converting machines.
✓ Experience with equipment from BHS/Martin, Emba/Bobst or similar corrugator/converting
brands preferred.
✓ Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, control
panels and safety systems.
✓ Ability to interpret electrical drawings and perform systematic troubleshooting.
✓ Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
✓ Relevant technical qualification (Electrical Diploma, ITI, or equivalent).
✓ Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
