Created in July with managerial authority, GLOBAL BUSINESS SUPPORT (GBS) now has nearly 2, employees in several countries and entities working in a coordinated manner to provide an excellent business support to ENGIE's Business Units and Corporate.

GBS currently has 7 Business Support functions: purchasing, consulting, finance, real estate and logistics, legal, human Resources, information systems.

The ambition of Global Business Support is to be the reference operator of ENGIE’s support functions and the trusted partner of the Group's operational entities, such is the ambition of GLOBAL BUSINESS SUPPORT in its strong development.

To support this development, GBS Finance is looking for :

Global Process Owner – A2R (M/F)

Position located in La Défense

Role Purpose

This position is part of the global leadership team within the Global Business Support (GBS) Finance/Procurement organization. The purpose of the Global Process Owner (GPO) role is to drive core process model design, updates, continuous improvements and next generation of changes in the Account to Report process (A2R).

Main responsabilities

GBS is mandated by Finance and Procurement to design and standardise end-to-end processes within the scope of GBS. This includes technology choices / satellite tools, which are to be made together with GET and the IT function in line with target enterprise architecture.

Therefore the GPO will be responsible for designing effective and efficient processes, managing core model deviations in alignment with relevant support functions – in particular Finance, Fiscal and business stakeholders. He/she is the gatekeeper of the A2R process and works closely together with stakeholders of GET; GBS Next Generation and PINK. He/ she is a key member of process governance boards and will define and monitor the KPIs on the path to process excellence.

A key aspect of the position is the continuous search for simplification, through process automation and standardization, leveraging state-of-the art technologies and innovation (SaaS solutions, Robotics Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Process Management, …)

Key Responsibilities

The GPO plays a key role in ensuring consistent adoption of optimized processes, implemented across all regions.

The scope of the A2R process covers from the accounting to reporting activities.

The A2R GPO and his/ her team are the product owner and accountable for the delivery of a significant number of global ERP satellite applications (Trintech, Closing cockpit,Interco platforms …) incl. meeting of respective P+L targets within regional GBS budgets.

The following key activities will be performed by this role:

Design Core Model processes in collaboration with regional GBS operations leads (process, management rules, RACI, roles & organization, internal control, satellite tools) Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across all regions and drive standardization of processes Review/ Approve/ Reject any exceptions to the Core Model with the regions Ensure processes levels 1-5 are fully documented and for levels 6-7 the process is documented where it is meaningful to do so Drive Innovation to ensure that the end to end process is “future proof”. For that purpose, continuously scout the outside market for ideas and new solutions Strengthen relationships with the regions (Regional Heads, Regional Process Managers and Teams) through both solid governance, as well as informal and formal networking Support Global Projects Steering Committee Meetings to ensure for processes, appropriate direction is given to the project team and any process related matters are resolved in a timely manner Examine and propose next generation of processes and solutions Support benchmarking activities and amend processes to achieve world class processing – ensure KPI and metrics driven performance measurement Ensure Internal control and compliance are embedded within process designs Define efficiency target for your own process and support/help operational teams to deliver efficiency performance with automation targets (tools to be used for example), best practices sharing and benchmarks

Expected Skills

High degree of accountability and ability to deliver measurable outcomes Proven track record of having managed complex transformation projects with digital components Strong A2R process knowledge with ability to redefine processes from end to end to support Business needs Effective collaboration skills with peers, stakeholders and partners across the organization High level of Interpersonal/ communication skills with an ability to communicate and present at different levels of the organization High level of autonomy and leadership Strong analytical skills to resolve critical issues and ensure programs stay on track Strategic thinking and process impact understanding Digital Native Fluency in English mandatory / French and other European languages are desirable

Background and Experience

Must have 10 to 12 years of experience in the transformation of operational processes and their related systems Must have experience of working with key stakeholders across functions up to Executive level Experience of working in a Global Business Services environment desirable.
