Cytonn Investments is an investments and real estate company, with offices in Nairobi – Kenya and DC Metro area – U.S. We are primarily focused on offering alternative investment solutions to global institutional investors, individual high net-worth investors, local institutional investors and diaspora investors interested in the East-African region. Our alternative investments solutions are based on four main products: real estate, structured solutions, private equity and advisory. Most of the investment opportunities in Sub Saharan Africa are not in the listed markets, hence our focus on alternative investments to find uncommon value and returns for our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist management with the supervision of all aspects of running the hotel, working with department heads, suppliers and stakeholders Supervise to ensure the hotel premises are in operative condition having met all safety regulations, health, legal and licensing requirements Attend and contribute to regular operations team meetings to discuss operational matters, sales targets, guest experience feedback, restaurant feedback and any staff issues Prepare, copy, and distribute reports to management as required. Supervise all hotel projects and liase with contractors for their timely completion. Work with departmental heads to investigate and handle complaints, disturbances, emergencies, etc. Anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring operational issues, business flow and associate performance. Work with housekeeping to ensure all areas of the apartments are functioning to paramount standards (e.g. cleanliness, bathroom cleanliness, outdoor cleanliness and conditions and functionality) Supervise maintenance and ensure regular maintenance of all equipment in the Hotel and ensure they are in good working condition Coordinate with department managers when necessary to ensure optimal functioning of the hotel. Closely monitor departmental overheads/ expenditures and keep them within allowable cost margins Any other duties that may be assigned from time to timeREQUIREMENTS
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or any other related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience Computer literacy and proficiency in use of the Hotel Information Management Systems and Revenue Management Systems desired. Excellent revenue management skills with experience of budgets, P&L’s and forecasting. Must have exceptional communication skills. Must have excellent customer relations and people management skills. Must be able to work well under pressure and under minimum supervision. Must have conflict resolution skills to keep guests happy and to help guarantee their continued patronageImportant Safety Tips
