IB Teacher of Digital Design and Computer Studies

The Digital Design and Computer Studies Teacher will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing high-quality lessons within the broad, balanced, and differentiated Design curriculum and IB lesson plan template using a variety of approaches in both the MYP Digital design and the IB Diploma Programme as well as supervising Internal Assessment, Personal Project and Extended Essay.

Duty & Responsibilities

To plan curriculum documents in a collaborative manner to reflect the standards and practices of the Academy.  To engage in effective teaching practice that embraces inquiry teaching and learning methods and differentiate activities to meet the needs of all students.  To authentically assess, record and track the progress of all students. To communicate necessary programme information to all stakeholders. To resource programme needs effectively and ensure careful maintenance of existing inventory.  To actively participate in the life of the Senior School and the Academy as a whole, in and out of normal school hours.

The requirements

Bachelor’s degree from recognized university Must have internationally recognized teaching qualification or a B.Ed/M.Ed At least 2 years of experience teaching in the IB MYP/DP  S/he must be proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, PYTHON, PHP and any other coding languages as well as knowledgeable and experienced in databases and other teaching applications.
