Production Manager responsible for the operation of an assigned area in terms of production, quality, cost, delivery, technical, safety, and human resources, whilst respecting the defined goals. He / She is responsible for the day-to-day management of people within production, to ensure company’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements. Ensuring that staff comply with health, safety and (SOP) standard operating procedures. He / She should strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce costs, improve production and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is always maintained. Proper CIP’s and COP’s of all machines after and before Ice cream production of both mixing and packing machines done, and documented. In charge of Ice cream mixing, flavoring, and value addition fruits in correct manner. Ensure ALL freezer parameters achieve correct OVERRUN! Of 95 – % Reconciliation of ALL ice cream raw materials and Packaging materials done on daily basis and compiled at the end of the shift. Product output records and Machine efficiency % data filed. Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction. Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are monitored, and targets achieved. Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning to meet targets. Ensure safe working practices are maintained and ‘Standard Operations’ adhered, and pep talk on strict follow up by operators on set SOP’s Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows offering Quality products. Ensure all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements are met. Close monitoring of Ice cream extrusion and cold room temperatures.Skill & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Food Science Must have experience of 3 Years in ice cream production processImportant Safety Tips
