Mission Statement for the Role:
The Impact and ESG Officer is responsible for assisting in the implementing Environmental, Social, and Management System (ESMS) policies and procedures and ensuring social and environmental sustainability in compliance with internationally recognised best practices.
Overall Responsibility:
To define steps necessary to address compliance gaps where they arise and identify opportunities to add value proactively, beyond compliance and risk mitigation, and contribute to the long-term developmental impact and sustainability initiatives.Key SMART Results for A-Player
Collect quality ESG KPIs data collection for reporting using the monthly E&S monitoring and review procedures checklist. (ESAP 16) -1st month after joining Monitoring and reviewing procedures for Poa and contractors’ operations per the ESMS policies and procedures by completing the internal audit checklist monthly. (ESAP 6)-1st month after joining Identify key potential social and environmental impacts and operational risks from audit reports, providing mitigation measures, and maintaining a high percentage of closure rates; this is to be tracked using the risk register. (ESAP 1) -Q1 after joining Close all tasks on the data protection risk management plan. (ESAP 17) -1 year after joiningRequirements
Level of Management Experience Required (Mandatory & Nice to Have)
Mandatory – Experience working in Impact and ESGDepartment stage of development where this role sits
