Investment analyst - MIROVA

Job Description

Lead Transactions: Oversee the entire investment cycle from origination to desk and onsite due diligence, including preparing and reviewing financial models, preparing investment committee memos, conducting credit risk assessments and negotiating and structuring transactions to managing financial close.  Portfolio Management: Maintain strong customer relationships for portfolio monitoring purposes and addressing scaling needs. Identify potential defaults or areas of concern and provide necessary support for clients, including waivers, amendments, or restructures as may be required. Financial Modelling: Take charge of investment analysis and financial modelling function for more complex transactions, while supervising and supporting a team of investment analysts in similar functions.  Portfolio Growth Support:  Participate in the origination efforts by participating in client relationship development from the early stage, lead deal screening, and secure internal buy-in for potential transactions.  Stakeholder Management:  Build and manage clientrelationships, lead transaction negotiations and documentation and coordinate with internal support functions, such as Risk, Legal, ESG and Compliance, throughout the investment cycle. Brand building:  Represent Mirova SunFunder at conferences, seminars, and other relevant events in the region or worldwide, as required.  Strategic initiative:  Contribute to growth initiatives, including organizing or participating in company trainings and contributing to the development of our investment analysts. Engage in other ad-hoc priority tasks such as supporting investor site visits/ due diligence requests.

-At least 5 years’ work experience with corporate finance advisory, private equity, project
finance, debt structured finance, or project development in Africa or other emerging
markets having worked for an investment advisory firm, investment fund or company.
-Strong academic records from a top-tier institution.
-French speaking capability is a plus
