Fides Kenya Ltd, part of Dummen Orange, is a leading company in growers and exporters of fresh cut flowers from Kenya to international markets. Fides Kenya operates under the trade name Dummen Orange. At present Fides Kenya Limited operates on 22 hectares where the Chrysanthemums, Geranium, Perennials, Osteospermum, Asters and filler plants cuttings are grown. Our workforce has grown over the years to the current level of about 1000 employees. We are located 29 km south-east of Embu town and 169 km north-east of Nairobi, approximately 50 km south of Mount Kenya.

RESPONSIBILITIES

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESComputer Hardware and Software Installation.Data Input, Processing and Report Generation.Network (LAN/WAN) Installation, administration & maintenance.IT Help Desk support.Backup and replication of Local Servers Data.Maintain hardware and software updates and access.Domain administration.System and Network Security.Data Analysis and Automation.Collaborating with departments to identify end-user requirements and specifications.Design and develop efficient and elegant software based on requirements.Testing and deploying programs and applicationsEDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEDiploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.2-3 years of working experience.Computer hardware and troubleshooting skills.Networking fundamentals knowledge.Operating systems (Windows, Linux)Basic cybersecurity knowledge.Advanced Programming SkillsPERFORMANCE CRITERIАUp-to-date system backups - backup logs.System downtime and uptime.Hardware and Software updates.Hardware maintenance schedule records.On-time and quality support.Customer satisfaction level.Overall performance of the team.Software downtime and uptime.Software performance.Why Join Us?Dummen orange has major international ambitions with innovation technology and quality high on the agenda.
