JOB SUMMARY
RequirementsAt least two (2) years of experience in the storage and distribution of petroleum products, including experience operating constant pressure-type fuel dispensing and storage systems.Knowledge of fuel storage and distribution systems, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and fuel transfer operations.Familiarity with safety, environmental, and operational standards related to fuel operations, including spill prevention and response requirements.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, logs, and operational documentation.Must be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.Passport must be valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hire.Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain operational and physical standards for the duration of deployment.Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Fuel Distribution System Operator is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and participating in the storage, distribution, and dispensing of petroleum products. This position ensures the safe operation of fuel distribution systems and compliance with industry and organizational standards. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing and overseeing fuel storage and distribution operations, including constant pressure-type fuel dispensing and storage systems.Monitoring fuel inventory levels to ensure operational needs are met and conducting accurate fuel accounting and reporting.Supervising and guiding fuel operators during fuel transfers, refueling operations, and other related tasks.Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and system checks to ensure optimal performance of fuel storage and dispensing systems.Identifying operational issues and implementing corrective actions to ensure the safety, integrity, and reliability of the fuel distribution process.Enforcing compliance with established safety, environmental, and operational standards related to petroleum systems, including spill prevention and response.Assisting with the training and development of fuel system operators to ensure task proficiency and compliance with operational and safety protocols.Ensuring proper use, handling, and storage of petroleum equipment and consumables, such as hoses, pumps, and filters.Keeping detailed and accurate records of fuel receipts, issues, maintenance activities, and incident reports, as needed.Coordinating and communicating with supervisors, team members, and other departments to support successful operational execution.
