The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa and Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) are collaborators on a Canadian research grant entitled Using Educational Technology to Develop Essential Educational Competencies in Sub-Saharan Africa. As part of this grant, the team is researching the use of educational software within the Learning Toolkit and are seeking a full-time LTK+ Researcher who will work out of the Professional Development & Outreach Centre at the Academy.
Job Summary – Under the guidance of and in coordination with the Concordia University LTK+ team, the LTK+ Researcher will be responsible for conducting research activities in elementary schools (Mombasa and adjacent counties) and in some preservice education postsecondary institutions. This position will also require the delivery of some training and support on the Learning Toolkit tools to the teachers participating in the LTK+ studies.

The requirements
Minimum B.A. in Education. Masters level is an asset
Educational research experience Teaching experience Experience with using the LTK+ tools in elementary teaching Experience in teacher professional development, especially related to the LTK+ tools Understanding of the Kenya Competency-based Curriculum Strong proficiencies in the following areas are required for this position: ICT Written and oral English Time management and organizational skills Attention to detail Transparent decision making
