Location: Masindi

The lodge manager will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth operations of the lodge. We are looking for a dynamic and energy-packed individual, guest focused and who is self-driven and able to motivate the other team players in running the lodge.

Responsibilities
•    Manage the lodge on a day to day basis to ensure smooth operations
•    Ensure and provide flawless, upscale, and professional guest service experiences
•    Analyze customer feedback and provide strategic direction to continuously improve the quality of service and guest experience
•    Anticipate and react promptly to guests' requirements with a sense of urgency
•    Oversee and coordinate all guest arrivals and departures
•    Coordinate and manage communication between guests and staff and follow up to ensure complete service delivery
•    Direct, coach and manage lodge staff to ensure all standards and procedures are adhered to
•    Maintaining all aspects of facilities and assets of the lodge and backhouse through best practices of hygiene and safety standards for both guests and staff
•    Ensuring the maintenance and ongoing development of the environmental management plan within the set framework.
•    Install a strong marketing profile including active approaches to boost visitor numbers
•    Monitoring income and expenses to ensure the lodge is profitable and the wastage of resources is limited.
•    To provide status updates to the Managing Director and interventions needed for immediate escalation of key problems affecting operations

Requirements
•    Applicants should have proven & excellent working experience as a lodge manager.
•    Dedicated and committed to providing excellent service within a high-pressure environment.
•    Be highly organized and empathetic
•    Able to provide leadership and development of staff
•    Able to provide a level of hospitality that meets the lodge's minimum standards
•    Have the ability to interact well with guests
•    Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
•    Capable of delegating multiple tasks
•    High level of Integrity

Qualifications
• Degree in hospitality management or the equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience in Managing Lodges
