JOB SUMMARY

RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Two (2) years of experience in a paint preparation, painting, sanding and scuffing or related field required. Must be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.Passport should be valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hire.Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishes to equipment, buildings and other structures, using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.Cover surfaces with canvas drop cloth or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster; or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisors in order to determine work requirements.Remove fixtures such as frames, door knobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, and/or sanding machines.Erect scaffolding and swing gates, or set up ladders, to work above ground level.Waterproof buildings, using waterproofing membranes and caulking.Other duties as assigned by leadership
