Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is registered as a non-operating holding company which started operations as a licensed banking institution with effect from January 1, . The holding company oversees KCB Kenya – incorporated with effect from January 1, – and all KCB’s regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan. It also owns KCB Insurance Agency, KCB Capital, KCB Foundation and all associate companies. The holding company was set up to among other things to enhance the Group’s capacity to access unrestricted capital and also enable investment in new ventures outside banking regulations, achieve operational and strategic autonomy for the Group’s operating entities and enhance corporate governance across the Group and oversight in management of subsidiaries.
SUMMARY
KCB Group is looking for a talented, creative, and dynamic Communications expert who will play a crucial role in proactively driving new news and respond to news cycle moments that affect the banking industry and assist in producing compelling storytelling for use across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will need to be curious learner, a persistent journalist always looking for opportunities to report news or tell our stories in interesting and creative ways, an excellent writer and communicator; a creative problem solver; goal-oriented, a self-starter and an outstanding collaborator partnering with all KCB group staff across all levelsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and implementation of brand communication strategies and initiatives at a senior level, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Create innovative and compelling storytelling approaches to enhance brand awareness, recognition, and positioning. Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the brand communication team, encouraging fresh ideas and unique approaches. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior executives, and external partners to ensure brand consistency and successful execution of brand communication campaigns. Proactively manage and protect the organization’s brand reputation, addressing potential issues and implementing crisis communication strategies when necessary. Stay abreast of industry trends, market insights, and emerging communication channels to inform strategic planning and enhance brand communication efforts. Drive the measurement and evaluation of brand communication initiatives, utilizing data and analytics to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI. Lead and inspire the team in the continuous exploration of innovative storytelling techniques and cutting-edge communication technologies. Manage and mentor a team of brand communication professionals, supporting their growth and creating a collaborative work environment.DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
