Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their international client in the manufacturing industry is seeking
an experienced Mechanical Technicians to join their maintenance team within our manufacturing
and service divisions. The ideal candidates will possess hands-on expertise in preventive and
predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of industrial machinery especially
corrugator and converting equipment such as BHS/Martin and Emba/Bobst or similar systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and
reduce unplanned downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, faults or breakdowns and perform timely corrective measures.
• Repair and replace mechanical components, parts, and assemblies associated with corrugator
and converting machines.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Carry out installation, alignment, calibration, and testing of mechanical systems and new
equipment.
• Maintain and service machine spares, tools, and lubrication systems.
• Assist in equipment upgrades and modification projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment history records.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and shop-floor
safety.
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and technical teams to optimize process
performance.
• Provide technical support during breakdowns and participate in maintenance planning
meetings

Qualifications

✓ Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
✓ Minimum 3 years of experience in preventive & predictive mechanical maintenance, repair
and installation, ideally with corrugator and converting machinery such as BHS/Martin and
Emba/Bobst or similar industrial systems.
✓ Prior experience working in manufacturing/production environments.
✓ Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance planning tools.
✓ Demonstrated technical understanding of board making and converting processes.
✓ Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and practical problem-solving ability.
✓ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
