Microsoft Garage Lab Manager

Responsibilities: As a Lab Manager, you will be responsible for overseeingthe day-to-day operations of our innovation lab, maintaining state-of-the-artmachinery and robots, and fostering a culture of innovation in STEM education.Your key responsibilities will include:

Lab Operations:
Participate in training sessions and workshops for employees using the lab and associated equipment.
Schedule and provide training on various equipment available in the lab, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and more.
Support projects by providing expert guidance on machine usage and technical solutions.
Lab Maintenance:
Inspect and ensure the lab facilities are well-maintained, including overseeing maintenance of major equipment.
Confirm that lab users are informed about safety and security measures within the lab.
Conduct regular lab inventory checks and maintain inventory of items issued to users.
Communication:
Provide content for our website and communication channels to showcase working projects, workshops, and training.
Draft communication materials to inform the community about upcoming events and training sessions.
General:
Plan and execute tech refresh, identifying and ordering new equipment for the lab.
Manage procurement-related activities for the lab, including purchase order creation.
Oversee all internal communications related to the lab, events, and workshops.
